Create welcoming, enjoyable Twilio user experiences with Paste.
At Twilio, the Paste design system is employed to create user interfaces that are intuitive, unified, and of the highest caliber. With tools and resources, Paste assists Product Designers and Engineers in creating consumer UIs in Figma and React.
Paste is...
Default accessibility The design systems team often refuses to ship a component, primitive, or composition if it falls short of the WCAG 2.1 AA Compliance standard. As a consuming team, you can anticipate Paste to do a significant portion of the labor-intensive work necessary to create accessible products. However, you must continue to consider accessibility and conduct regular product audits. You can get assistance from the Design Systems team for this task.
Composed intentionally. The construction of paste tokens, primitives, components, and compositions themselves is inherent. To put it simply, this means that you can solve your product/user interface (UI) challenges by combining tiny and large elements.
Paste is not...
logical applications are a concern. Every Paste component is presentational in nature and has no opinion regarding how data is transmitted to them.
Stateful. Components have internal state contained when appropriate (for example, UI behavior or keyboard interaction), but they are not concerned with application state themselves.
unique to a product or industry Paste compositions try to satisfy Twilio pattern demands at the most general level, whereas Paste components aim to service all UI needs semantically. They hold the opinion that an effective design system raises the bar for a wonderful customer experience, and they are eager to witness intelligent, well-researched departures from the system that do the same.
Accessibility at Twilio scale
Being inclusive is one of the cornerstones of Twilio Magic. An essential component of achieving this goal is designing and developing experiences that are usable by a wide range of people, but doing so sadly takes a lot of time and specialized knowledge. Teams that utilize Paste have accessibility best practices integrated, allowing them to concentrate on the client's issue without compromising inclusiveness.
Twilio's UX Guidelines
These guiding principles describe how I, you, and the UX organization as a whole operate. They hold us responsible for adopting the attitudes and methods they promote. They push their work to satisfy the requirements they set.
